Welcome to Flourishing Bonds Coaching and Psychotherapy. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules, guidelines, and agreements for using my website and engaging in my psychotherapy or coaching services.

By accessing this website, scheduling an appointment, or utilizing my services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Nature of Services & Distinction

I provide two distinct types of services. It is strictly understood that:

• Psychotherapy: This is a clinical, evidence-based healthcare service diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Psychotherapy is available only to residents physically located in California, Washington, or Virginia at the time of service, or in-person in Roseville, CA.
• Relationship & Family Coaching: This is an action-oriented, educational, and goal-directed service. Coaching is not therapy, nor is it a substitute for psychological counseling, diagnosis, or medical treatment. Coaching services are available worldwide virtually and in-person in Roseville, CA.

2. Medical & Emergency Disclaimer

This website and my coaching/therapy services do not provide emergency medical or psychiatric care.

• If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, are in danger of harming yourself or others, or are in a crisis, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or call the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 immediately. * Do not use email, website forms, or voicemail for urgent crisis situations, as I cannot guarantee an immediate response.

3. Payment, Billing, & Insurance

• Payment: Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. I accept major credit cards and secure online payments.
• Insurance (Therapy Only): If you are utilizing insurance for psychotherapy, it is your responsibility to understand your coverage, co-pays, and deductibles.
• Coaching Services: Coaching is generally an out-of-pocket expense and is not covered by health insurance.

4. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.

• I require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments (no-shows), may be subject to a cancellation fee up to the full cost of the session.

5. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, graphics, logos, and materials—is the property of Flourishing Bonds Coaching and Psychotherapy and is protected by copyright laws. You may read and share this information for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not duplicate, modify, or distribute my original content without prior written permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

While I strive to provide the highest quality of care and support, the use of this website and my services is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dr. Alyson Kohl and Flourishing Bonds Coaching and Psychotherapy shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of this website or the application of the information provided herein.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of my services shall be resolved within the jurisdiction of Placer County, California.
